Reishi Rose Honey

Reishi is known as Ling Zhi in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Also known as the “mushroom of longevity” and “the empress of mushrooms”. 

Reishi is a gentle adaptogen that promotes emotional equilibrium and serenity. This powerful mushroom allows our body time to adapt to stress by creating spaciousness for more grounded presence, while softening tension for more easeful rest.

The Oregon Reishi that we work with is mindfully wildcrafted from pristine old growth forest in Washington.  It has a gentle and nurturing energy of the forest that is a lovely ally for our hearts.

The triple extract with the spagyric process brings the most beneficial compounds into absorbable forms to support our wellness.

For this Oregon Reishi extraction, we start with a room temperature 95% organic cane alcohol tincturing process, then after at least a moon cycle we press out the tincturing mushroom material. We then bring the water portion with a gentle 3 hour hot water decoction, simmering the mushrooms to extract the water soluble components. The mushroom material then goes back into the organic alcohol from the first phase to allow for further extraction after the hot water breaks open the cell walls.  

Upon completion of the 3rd phase, we separate the mushroom material from the alcohol extract.   The extracted mushroom material is then burned and calcined to a white ash that can take upwards of 48 hours for these special mushrooms.   The ash is then put into distilled water and we complete a refinement process of the water soluble minerals to create crystalized mineral salts that are the body of the mushroom.   

The alcohol portion of the extract is brought up to body temperature and we carefully add the minerals back into the alcohol portion to unite the body, soul, and spirit of the mushroom.  In this special moment, Brian plays a gong to bring harmonic resonance and sound vibrations into the liquid as the basic minerals react with the acidic compounds present in the tincture. 

This alchemical process is how new compounds are created, and a more bio-available tincture is completed.
